English speaking mums from anywhere in the world 🙂
Okaaaay ladies, here we go! 🙂
@watergeenie so your child is vefry lively when he does not want to go to bed in the evening, my children are very tired every evening, so I am happy at 8 o clock when they are in a bed and sleeping, My children are the same when I work with computer, they always help me so then I have to watch songs with them, so I usually go on PC when they are in a kindergarten or in the evening. Anyway do you teach yur little boy English? Last year my children went on an English course for little children, and they learned a lot, mainly Nelka, I think that this age is the best for learning foreign languages and this year we can not keep on a course, cause I waas pregnant and we have Lucka. And where do you live, in Slovakia or abroad?
@bonaquaba Yeah, he is veeeeeeeeeeeery lively. He gets up at 6 in the morning and we have a problem to get him to bed at 9pm, no matter whether he sleeps 2 hours or 40 minutes in the afternoon.
We live in Kosice. I don't really teach him english, but he learned some words when we were in Egypt, like thank you etc and he's got a Furby (a toy that talks to you) and he can chat with him quite well, he can ask him to sing a song or show a dance... and the little thing understands him, so its great! (especially when the toy is for children from 6 yrs up 🙂
And now he is starting to sing along the Thomas and Friends title song, because he watches that a lot 🙂
By the way, have I put this link here before? Lovely english songs for children 🙂
Oh and this too. Hillarious!
@watergeenie
🙂 great version, Love it, we're singing this in a car, normally my gorgeous princes finds it amuzing and doesn't cry unless she's feeling very sorry for herself. Also (for those in Slovakia) she loves the Orange add, ja som mala vianocka, ruzove mam licka, she starts throwing arms in the air, jumping, bless, its the cutest thing.
We also like Gracie Lou, very catchy, might know it from Jim Jam. 🙂
@juicyluu Hahaha, vianocka is pretty big here too 🙂 Loránko loves it and his own version is "ja som mala vianocka, ruzovu mam plienku" 😀 He likes Gracie Lou too, he is a Jim Jam and Minimax addict 🙂 When he was really small he loved Igloo Gloo most. Now he is more into trains and everything that's got wheels 🙂
How are you doing? We are all sick, sneezing and coughing all day, I hope it will pass soon. 😝
@watergeenie awh ☹ actually we just got over snotties too. The hoover snot pump is not popular in our house at the moment. But it has to be done. Hope you all get better soon.
@juicyluu I can imagine. We don"t have the hoover version, only the "manual" one. He just hates it, he cries like crazy, I cannot imagine what it would be, if it was connected with the noise of a hoover. 😝 Thanks, I hope it will get better, it cannot last forever. 😉
@watergeenie my son when he was younger he used to get up at 5 o clok in the mornig, I was upset andv ery tired, cause he did not want to stay in bed he wanted to play so I had to get up at this time it was horrible, but now he is older and he gets up at 6 so it s quite good even though it s too early for me, but it s better, we also watch some songs and nursery rhymes on you tube and we are danicnig and have fun. Your English is good where did you learn and were you abroad
@bonaquaba Our son used to get up at 5 too, now he moved it to six, but I still think he sleeps very little, because it's too late to go to sleep at 10 pm as does now. Well, he will want to sleep until lunch when he grows up and becomes a teenager, but then we will get up at 6 and won't let him sleep. 😀 😀 😀
Thanks for appreciating my english, but it used to be somewhat better when I was working as an interpreter for an american company here in Kosice, now I'm forgetting a lot. I haven't spent much time abroad, but I studied english at a university.
How is your little princess Lucka doing? 🙂
@watergeenie Lucka is one day lovely and next day cries all day, today she is calm and as sleeping nearly all day, but my two older lovely children are still ill and I do not know what to do, cause Andrej caughs for nearly one month and he had antibiotics, but it did not help, so I do not know what kind of medicine should I give him, when antibitoics weren=t good 😢 , he has got bronchitida so if you know any good medicine or recipe, let me know. And how is your young man?
hi girls 🙂 i have a problem... maybe next year or maybe little later we are going to live to new zealand and i don´t know speak english... ☹ yesterday evening i saw(?) this theme and i want to ask you for little help.
can i write with you for some time? but you must have a compassion with me, becouse i learnt eanglish just alone at home and for this time is my eanglis terrible. i understand what you write, but my problem is construe sentences. i´m using vocabulary for some word´s, but i don´t know conjugations and declensions too ...
your eanglish is very good, my not, so when you don´t want to write with me, is not problem. 😀 😀 😀
and for information aboute me, i am mother too 🙂 i have a nice little boy, filipko, he is now 8months old, he is very clever and for us most beutiful baby in the world 😉
@juicyluu
@bonaquaba
@watergeenie hello, now i see the date 2010... i am little late i thing... 😀 are you still here?
hi girls 😉 mai english is bad, this is good schul from mi. 😀 😀 😀
aim live in holland, end mai boyfrend is afrika man, but good speak he slovak leangues, a we wont children, and baby lern englisch, is super.......... 😉
hi! i am from slovakia, and i want to practise english! 🙂
@mimave
ok we can speak english, it not problem for me, cause I will forget everything while being on a maternity leave,so I try to read some articles from newspaper, but only once a time cause I am lazy, so this is the best way to communicate with people and not forget everything.
@bonaquaba I am very happy that you write🙂 I need practise english too, but I am afraid that I don´t have much time for learnt it, because my little boy is very exacting child.. in this time he is in bed for first sleeping, for 2-2.5hours maybe, after that I must go there and take him to my bed and sleep with him....
so I have not much time for everything, especialy for english...
Girls, I visit english school already one and half year. I am on "mother holiday" of course. It is very good for my next job, I think.
Hi girls, I would like to practice my English also, so that is the great way to communicate with somebody, who speaks English, and who is native speaker. I live in Slovakia, and work in company, where is English official language. Nearly all of my colleagues have been study English in UK, USA and whatever, there are only few people like me, that we have been study English only at grammar school. In my daily work routine in English I have no problem, that is topics I have every day, but i have problem to talk about daily life, about hobbies, spending free time, holiday, about my family...As somebody told here, I am lazy to learn vocabularies, so I hope this will be school for me 🙂 I promise myself, I will not use vocabulary, hihi.
@zuzkag2 with me its the other way round.i speak everyday english,but when it comes to politisc,economics etc i struggle 😖
i have some english friends,actually english speaking friends from all over the world 🙂.i spend few years in uk as an aupair(3years) and another 2,5years as a team leader in butlins environmental dep.i absolutely loved my uk time but as soon as i found out i was pregnant,there was no other way for me,but to move back to slovakia.i would never raise my child there. so here we are 😉 i has been almost 3 years since i left uk,i miss it,i miss my friends dearly,i miss shopping so very much 😀... but i would never go back 🙂
as i said ,it has been almost 3 years(2,5 actually) since i left uk and my engish went downhill 😖 so i kinda need you ladies 🙂
@bobocka so welcome 🙂 we are happy you are here, you should be our teacher🙂 I see your English is amazing, you know slang(?) , that is great for us.
I have some English friends too, they are so "open" , they would like to talk to everybody about everything, but I am still so shy...I know, if I speak everyday, it will be more better for me. and what does it mean struggle?
And, why, if you like your Uk time, and people, why do you think it is not the right place to raise your child there? And what are you doing here, are you on maternity leave? And what about your child, it is boy, or girl, what is her/his name? And my last question in this round, are you Slovak? Which town do you come from?
and pls, if you found out some mistakes, pls, let me know, if you can 😉
@zuzkag2 of course im slovak!!! my english isnt as good as u may think.i struggle means that something gives me hard time.
im 29years old mother of one.my son misko is an amazing little boy,love him so much 🙂 he is 2 years old.im marriend to fantastic guy,he is slovak as well.we have been together almost 12 years.we got married in london,that was really special 🙂 we r from banska bystrica
as i said,i loved it in uk.we loved it while we were just a couple.but as soon as i found out we were about to have a child, the only way for us was to move back.u would have to live there to understand that.really bad school system,health care,...most of the people cant afford to buy their own house,so they keep renting one hause after another.they dont really have place to call home.its normal for them,but i couldnt live like that.ones a foreigner, always a foreigner.its not my home.never will be.and british people are weird,really weird.middle class is uneducated.wherever u go-shops,doctors,school...they are ridiculously friendly and smily all the time,it feels fake. 🙄 its lovely to meet nice smily people,but all of them in shops and hospitals etc are like that.its like big brother is watching them,making them to be fake happy otherwise they will be punished or something 😅 😀
i was very unhappy with my midwife( a nurse that takes care of pregnant woman) she called me love,sweetie...she didnt even know me!!!! they do that all the time.its normal for them,its like that shoud make u feel like they are good people u can trust,but that makes me really unconfortable.i needed somebody who would check if i, myself and my son were ok.that didnt happen.she kept asking me questions which had nothing to do with my pregnancy,she refused to check my urine sample,she lost my triple test results....she left everything in nature hands.only in slovakia i felt like i speak to doctor who deserves to be called doctor,who has a knowlidge about pregnancy and knows how to take good care of pregnant women.
uk isnt a save enviroment to raise a child.those teenagers are scary.they swear all the time,drink all the time,kids have kids,they have no respect,knife culture is on everyday basics.its bad.i know that our teenagers arent angels eighter,but compare to english ones they are.i really believe that.
btw not more better,but much better is correct form 😉
upsy,excuse my mistakes 😅 but that option to correct my text, if i see any mistakes, isnt here anymore 😅 🙄 weird 🙄

@bonaquaba That's so sweeeeeeet. Your kids are real darlings 🙂 I hope my son will so nice to his sister(brother) too.
Well, I spend a lot of time with my mum, because she is not feeling well, so we stay my parents house while my husband is at work a even if we are at home, my sweet little boy does not let me type on the computer, he always comes and wants to type or watch children songs on youtube or whatever. So the only time when I can look at modrykonik is when he is sleeping. And usually I have other things to do then... ☹ And in the last days he does not want to go to sleep even in the evening.
