Let´s write in English. I would like to improve my English. I have daughter Caroline, she is 7 month old. What will you do during this week-end?
it means you are too excited to do something properly, am I right? 😉
Etuska, I´m fine thanx, only my mother-in-law (MIL) makes me crazy....she is looking after my Hunny Bunny while I´m at work but it isn´t very good for my health.... 😀 😀 😀
Norik 😀 😀 😀
Duska-is Norik right? 😕
Norik- poor you. Your mentally health is relly in danger. 😀
Iam not sure if you are right, because it means something like Pat a Mat behaviour- so something like somebody is not skill but on the contrary- MAŤ OBE RUKY ĽAVÉ- but maybe you mean it, only i don´t recognize your translation.
...Duska 😀
but if you remember pat and Mat were quite excited about different things...but the result wasn´t always the best one 😀 😀 😀
Etuška 😀 😀 😀
Well maybe I learned this under a little bit different meaning - something like VYSKOCIT Z KOZE - you are so excited that you can´t do anything with your hands because you´re shaking.... so manually you can´t do anything. But maybe people use it in different situations in defferent regions in the UK.
But I think that the basis was the same 😀
oh yes, my mental health is endangered...but, what can I do? My mum still works 😔
I like this one:
A closed mouth catches no flies.
what do you think?
Norik 😕 😅
Hmm-I´d like to stay, but I´ve got so much to do and I slept only for 4,5 hours last night,so I´m totally exhausted 😝
Good night ladies,sleep well 😵
A closed mouth catches no flies?
Maybe - Menej je niekedy viac? 😀
It means something like if you don´t open your mouth, you will never get anything...can´t find slovak version...
Norik, something like if you dont ask, won´t get?
First I fought that it is something like if you don´t want the flies inside your month, so, keep it closed and be happy with what you have got.
But as Iam reading I wasn´t right at all 😀
But Here is another sentance .
- LIKE WATER OFF A DUCK´S BACK.-
It is difficult so my help is a word PEA in slovak version. 😀
A closed mouth catches no flies? In Czech...lina huba hotove nestesti, in Slovakia......kto sa hanbi, ten ma suche gamby?
Duska hrach na stenu hadzat? But i dont understand that sentence very much....... ☹
I like this sentence........Mind your own business!
I also think "hadzat hrach na stenu" But without your help I wouldn´t have any idea 😀 😀 😀
eveeen suche gamby is the translation, thanks!!!! Couldn´t find it in my mind 🙂
As you sow, so you shall reap
another one 🙂
You were right girls. You are very clever.
So another one:
He has a screw loose. 😀
Does it mean that he is crazy?
Norik 😀
Thatś right.
Mať uvoľnenú skrutku- Mať o koliesko viac, pojesť divé huby. 😀
Sometimes it´s a quite fine feeling 😀 like it, isn´t it?
yeah really good 😉
A bad penny always turns up.
Help: bread 🙂
Norik, my husband helped me and I think he is true.
Bread with butter always fall down on the butter size. 😀
hallo, where are you?
hello girls, can I go on with you? I hope so...Is this conversation just making practising -dont forget all English words step by step or are you even native-speakers ? 😉 If anybody comes, let me know...
does anybody want to carry on?
feuer...welcome!!!! come tomorrow again!! 😉 😉 😉
Good morning everybody,
I'd like to practise... especially my spelling is getting worse and worse 🙂
..morning Kings, mine too ☹ ☹ Lets discuss something!
hi everyone... well here is snowing... I mean in bratislava... how about anywhere else?
It is a bit difficult, isn´t it. Try, try, try...
What does it mean?
You are all fingers and thumbs.
